在发展成为时代核心主题的情况下，发展自身的种种问题也日益突出出来。如人口问题、资源问题、环境问题，等等。社会发展过程中所出现的诸多问题，都涉及到社会发展的代价问题。要恰当地解决这些急迫的问题，就必须以正确的世界观和方法论作为指导，特别是要认真研究和探讨关于社会发展代价的理论。因此，从哲学的角度探讨社会发展与其代价的辩证关系，具有重要的现实意义和长远的战略意义。 本文在总结、概括、借鉴前人研究成果的基础上，对社会发展代价的含义、本质及特征提出了新的见解和主张；揭示了社会发展代价产生的根源；分析了社会发展代价与社会发展的辩证关系；阐释了社会发展代价在社会发展过程中的重要地位和作用；论述了树立科学的社会发展代价观的重要意义及实现的途径。文章最后强调要坚持符合科学社会发展代价观的科学发展观，这是实现当代中国社会良性发展的必由之路。
In the case of development being the epoch subject matter, myriad problems of development itself emerge increasingly. For example, the problem of population, resources, environment, and so on. There must be a philosophical theory guidance if we want to solve these problems correctly. This theory is just the theory of social development cost. Concretely speaking, the problems appearing in the course of development are the problems of cost. So, thinking these problems surrounding the relationship between development and cost from the angle of philosophy has a great strategic meaning to solve these problems.On the basic of summing up and using for reference of someone else" s productions, this article will give some new opinions on the meanings, the essence and the characteristic of social development cost, open out the roots of the development cost, analyze the dialectic relationship between the development and cost, and elucidate the costs" important effect on development. At the end, the article indicates that it is very important to build up correct cost view. Insisting on and carrying out the scientific development view is the only way in China to make a healthy development come true.
