在知识经济初露端倪的今天，高等教育大众化作为世界高等教育发展的一种必然趋势，倍受世界各国的关注。目前，许多国家尤其是发展中国家，其高等教育的改革大都是围绕着“大众化”这一主题而展开的。可以说，高等教育大众化是当前高等教育领域亟待研究的一个重要课题。日本早在1963年就已实现了高等教育大众化，如今正向普及化迈进。中日两国作为一衣带水的邻邦，具有相同的文化渊源，所以日本发展高等教育大众化的经验与教训对我国高等教育大众化的实现具有启示意义和借鉴价值。基于此，本文运用系统理论，主要运用因素分析法、历史法、比较法等，从纵、横两个维度，分析研究推动日本高等教育迅速走向大众化的内、外部因素，在此基础上，观照日本，探讨我国实现高等教育大众化的新思路。 全文由五部分组成。 第一部分：问题的提出。主要阐述了什么是高等教育大众化、日本对高等教育大众化的认识以及中国高等教育大众化政策的提出等问题。并对选题的意义、研究现状、研究方法也作了介绍。 第二部分：日本高等教育大众化史的考察。本部分主要从历史的角度，以时间为线，探讨日本高等教育大众化的发展进程。 第三部分：日本高等教育实现大众化的外部因素分析。这一部分从系统论的角度分析日本的政治、经济、科技、国民的教育意识对其高等教育大众化的影响及推动作用。 第四部分：日本高等教育实现大众化的内部因素分析。本部分主要论述分析日本基础教育的大发展和高等教育体制及内部机制改革对其高等教育大众化的推动。 第五部分：日本高等教育大众化的启示与借鉴。在前几部分分析论述的基础上，总结日本高等教育大众化的经验与教训，进而为中国实现高等教育大众化捉供启示与借鉴。
With the rising of knowledge economy, the popularization of higher education, as a inevitable trend of higher education development in the world, has aroused worldwide attention . Nowadays, many countries, especially the developing countries are reforming their higher education focusing on the popularization of higher education. The popularization of higher education is becoming an urgent task to be explored in the field of higher education. As early as in 1963,Japan realized the popularization of higher education. And now Japan is stepping toward the phase of universalization Japan ,as a China"s neighboring country separated only by a strip of water , has the similar culture .So Japanese experiences and lessons from its popularization of higher education will bring China some useful enlightenments and references. With this aim ,the thesis studies and analyses historically and synchronically the internal and external factors that promoted Japanese popularization of higher education ,and probes into new thoughts of Chinese popularization of higher education, mainly employing system theory factor analyses ,historical methods and comparative methods and so on.The thesis consists of five parts.Part I. The raising of the issue. This part mainly deals with some topics such as the concept of popularization of higher education, Japanese understanding of popularization and the raising of the popularization policy in China"s higher education,this part also introduces the meaning of selecting the topic ,the status quo of the studies and the methods of the research.Part II .The historical examination of the popularization of Japanese higher education. This part historically inquires , into the popularization process of Japanese higher education.Part HI. Analysis of the external factors in the popularization of Japanese higher education. This part, based on system theory analyses, theeffects of Japanese politics, economy ,science and technology, national education consciousness on the popularization of higher education.Part IV .Analysis of the internal factors. It mainly discusses the support and promotion role of the explosion of basic education and the reform of the higher education system and its internal mechanism in Japanese popularization higher education.Part V.The enlightenments and lessons from Japanese popularization of higher education . This part summarizes ,based on the examination in former parts, the enlightenments and lessons from the Japanese experience so as to provide some reference to China
