庄子的思想言论中包涵着丰富的生态美学思想，对庄子生态美学进行个案研究是当代生态美学研究的重要组成部分。庄子生态美学对宇宙、世界的看法趋向于一元化，即：天与人有一个共同的生命本原——“道”。“道”所化生的天地万物都是自然的，它们遵循自然的法则而生存和发展。庄子的“气”这个范畴，是对世界的运动本质的普遍性的整体把握。对于审美活动来说，“气”和“感应”是相互依存的。庄子生态美学“和”的审美原则内在规定性内容包括：宇宙自然本身的圆融；人与自然之间关系的和谐美；人的生态和生命基质的平衡与调和。庄子认为生死变化是很自然的事情，人们应该以坦然的态度面对生死的问题，使生命的流程体现“自然之道”。庄子生态美学认为自然万物都有着自己存在的意义和价值，人与自然应该是在生命基础上的平等对话关系。庄子的“游”是人与自然万物交触的生命体验，从根本上说同生态美的体验是一致的，同样是生命与生命的交流。同时“游”也标志着一种中国人对于人生的诗性领悟，一种中国人的理想人生境界与审美生存方式。
The statements of Zhuangzi are rich in the thoughts of ecological aesthetics .And it is also an important part of contemporary ecological aesthetics research to make a monographic study on Zhuangzi"s ecological aesthetics tends to be monistic ,that is to say, heaven and man share the common origin?"Tao". Everything begotten by "Tao" evolves and acts according to the natural laws .The realm of "Qi" for Zhuangzi is the overall mastery of the essence of universal movement .As for the aesthetic activities , " Qi" exists corresponding with "response" .The principle of "He" in Zhuangzi"s ecological aesthetics includes: the perfection of the universe itself, the harmonious relationship between man and nature, the moderation of desires in man"s life. Zhuangzi regards the alteration of life and death as a natural process and considers that people should face it calmly and make this process reflect the natural "Tao" .Zhuangzi"s ecological aesthetics believes that all kinds of beings have their own value of existence ,and that man and nature hold an equal position on the basis of being . "You" is the life experience of communication between man and nature It is the same as the experience of ecological beauty in essence .At the same time , "You" also symbolizes the poetic comprehension of Chinese people towards life and is the life ideal and a way of aesthetic being of Chinese people .
