At present, SA technology has been admitted as one of main new technologies in 3G mobile communication systems. To use SA technology can reduce common channels interference and increase communication system capability. Selection of adaptive algorithms is the key in course of SA realization. Recently, multi-input multi-output(MIMO) appears very promising for more efficient use of channel. The MIMO SA system uses the array antennas both at the base station(BS) and mobile station(MS). Consequently, the use of MIMO technology could dramatically increase the channel capacity of wireless communications. In this paper, a novel MIMO algorithm, namely LMS-MIMO, was present, which is intended to use the conventional LMS technology for the problem solving. Compared with conventional LMS algorithm adopting SA only at the receiver part, the proposed algorithm adopts SA not only at the receiver part but also at the transmitter part.Results of simulation reveal that the performance of LMS-MIMO algorithm is much better than the conventional LMS algorithm adopting SA only at the receiver part. The performance also improves as the array antennas at transmitter and receiver have more elements.
