本文论述了修辞格的内容之一——借代辞格，分别通过借代与隐喻的对比以及俄、汉两种语言中借代的对比，试图揭示出借代的深层内涵以及在俄、汉两种语言中的运用情况，深化对修辞格本质的认识。文章认为，借代作为一种最重要的修辞手段之一，不仅具有美学意义上的功能，同时具有极为重要的语义功能和认知功能，是一种构词手段和派生词的新义的方法。文章对俄、汉借代辞格中共同以及各自采用的借代模式及借代词进行了对比，列出了七种基本的借代模式，并对借代词从文字形态、语音及书写系统方面进行了对比。最后，文章通过实例具体分析了俄、汉借代辞格在代体选择上的文化及心理因素。
