论文标题:屏南县中学英语教师专业发展现状调查与对策研究 A Preliminary Research on the Professional Development of the English Teachers of Middle Schools in Ping Nan County 论文作者 论文导师 檀东星,论文学位 硕士,论文专业 学科教学 论文单位 福建师范大学,点击次数 291,论文页数 68页File Size3957K 2006-08-01论文网 http://www.lw23.com/lunwen_2654962/ English teachers of middle schools; professional development; problems and strategies 二十一世纪被称为交际的时代。随着中国加入世界贸易组织,英语对于国家以及个人而言都变得至关重要。伴随着英语国际交流压力的增加,英语语言教学就变得更加重要与紧迫了。显然英语教师必须提高自身的专业水平。 随着中学英语新课程标准的实施、中学新教材的启用和新教法的不断提出,中学英语从教学理念、教学内容到教学实施都具有前所未有的新意。在新一轮基础教育改革背景下,英语新课标特别关注学生交际能力的发展。所有这些都给中学英语教师带来了极大的挑战。因此,中学英语教师的专业发展引起了人们极大的关注。作为英语教师必须站在更高的层面,并且通过相关的专业发展措施来提高自己的专业水平。 文章共分为五大部分:引言,文献综述,调查研究,相关对策和结语。通过对教师教育的总体回顾,探讨中学英语教师专业发展的内涵、专业发展的重要性和必要性;通过问卷调查、访谈和课堂观察的方法来实际了解屏南县中学英语教师的专业素质、专业发展现状。分析其主要存在的问题与障碍。在此基础上提出中学英语教师专业发展的内容和途径,并对相关教育主管部门、学校领导、培训人员以及教师本人提出建议。 此文的目的是为当前中学英语教师的专业发展提供理论与实践的依据。希望此项课题研究能够使从事基础教育的英语教师有所收益,使他们在更高层面的理论的指导下来进行教学实践,最终达到英语教师整体水平提高的根本目的。 The 21st century has been called "the age of communication". With China"s recent entry into WTO, English has become crucial both to the nation and to individuals. As the pressure to communication increases, English language teaching becomes even more important and urgent. Hence, the immediate consequence is a clear need to upgrade the professional competence of EFL teachers.With the implementation of the New English Curriculum Criterion, the promotion of new teaching materials and teaching methods, middle school English has unprecedented novelty from teaching conception, teaching contents to the implementation of teaching. The New English Curriculum Criterion pays more attention to the development of students" communicative competency under the background of basic educational reform. English teachers of middle schools are in the face of great challenge. Their development is becoming a great concern in China. So, English teachers should learn to improve themselves through corresponding professional development strategies.This thesis mainly consists of five parts: introduction, literature review, survey and research findings, some strategies and conclusion. Through the review of teacher education, we explore the connotation of English teachers" professional development, and then put forward the importance and necessity of it. To know more about English teachers" actual professional quality, and their status of professional development, this research is based on a small-scale survey onEnglish teachers of middle schools in Ping Nan County. The main instruments are questionnaires, interviews and classroom observations. The results show clearly the problems among them. Finally the thesis puts forward the contents, the approaches and the hurdles of the English teachers" professional development, adding some recommendations for the administrative departments, school administrators, trainers and English teachers themselves.The thesis intends to offer the theoretical and practical foundation for middle school English teachers. We hope this research can benefit all the English teachers who engage in English teaching in middle schools and help them do English teaching with new ideas and thoughts, which can help reach the goal of improving the whole professional proficiency of English teacher.
