中学历史教材洋务教育的叙述极为简略,评价过低,与洋务教育的历史地位洋务很不相称。 教育以培养外语人才为开端,首创京师同文馆,接着又创办了上海广方言馆等一些外国语言学馆。随着洋务运动的深入,洋务派又根据洋务教育的需要先后创办了一些军事学堂和实业学堂并派遣学生出国留学。洋务教育上承中国传统教育,下启维新和新政教育。虽然它新旧杂糅、杂乱分散,但在指导思想、培养目标、教学内容、教学方法等方面开始突破了中国传统教育的框架,冲击了封建教育网络,打开了封建教育的缺口,为中国教育的近代化提供了样本、材料和经验。有力地冲击和改变了陈腐的价值观念,对中国社会各领域的发展产生了深刻的影响。由于洋务教育所处的特定时代和中国教育当时发展状况的局限,再加上传统价值观念和和封建体制弊端的影响,洋务教育未能发展壮大起来。但是,不能因此就低估了洋务教育的历史作用,应该对洋务教育进行全面的再思考,对中学历史教材的相关论述及评价作出修改。
For the westernization education, the narration of middle school history textbook is very brief and the evaluationis so low that it could not match its historical status. The westernization education took training the foreign language talented people as the beginning. First, Tung Wen hall was established, later on, Shanghai Broad Dialect hall and other foreign language halls were established. With the deepening of the Westernization Movement, according to the needs of the foreign affairs education, the foreign affairs group successively established some military schools and Industrial schools, sending students to study abroad. The foreign affairs education was the beginning of China" modern times which connected Chinese traditional education with the Reformand New Deal education. Although it was the mixture of new and old and disorderly dispersed, the guiding ideology, the goal of training, course content and teaching method of foreign affairs education break the framework of Chinese traditional education, impacted feudal education system and opened the gap of feudal education, which provided sample, material and experience for the development of Chinese education. At the same time, foreign affairs education impacted and changed the stale traditionalvalue idea, and deeply influenced the development of various domains in Chinese society. As foreign affairs education took place in a special era and the limitation of the Chinese education development at that time, added traditional value idea and the defects of feudalism, foreign affairs education could not develop and expand. However, we could not underestimate the historical influence. but need to reconsider foreign affairs education. Hence, we should make a comprehensive reconsideration about foreign affairs education, and then make some revision on relative exposetion of middle school history textbook.
