最近，中共中央、国务院发出《关于进一步加强和改进大学生思想政治教育的意见》，强调指出，“大学生是十分宝贵的人才资源，是民族的希望，是祖国的未来。加强和改进大学生思想政治教育，提高他们的思想政治素质，把他们培养成中国特色社会主义事业的建设者和接班人，对于全面实施科教兴国和人才强国战略，确保我国在激烈的国际竞争中始终立于不败之地，确保实现全面建设小康社会、加快推进社会主义现代化的宏伟目标，确保中国特色社会主义事业兴旺发达、后继有人，具有重大而深远的战略意义。”实现这一战略目标的首要问题就是引导大学生树立坚定正确的信仰。遗憾的是，目前对于该问题的研究虽然已有学者做了一些分析和论证，但在现代中国急剧变革的社会转型时期，在东西方思想文化剧烈碰撞，对青年的争夺日趋激烈的今天，极有必要对当代大学生信仰问题进行综合性、系统性的研究。这不仅只是涉及到大学生这个群体的问题，而且是一个涉及整个民族伦理精神和人文精神发展的社会问题，是一个具有鲜明时代特点的“现代性”重建的重大价值问题。 本文在前人已有研究成果的基础上，以马列主义、毛泽东思想、邓小平理论和“三个代表”的重要思想为指导，坚持历史与现实相统一的原则，运用理论探索与实证研究相结合、静态分析与动态分析、定性分析与定量分析相结合的方法，在现实考察和理论考察的基础上，从“信仰的文化阐释”、“当代大学生信仰的文化解析”、“当代大学生信仰的主要成因分析”、“当代大学生信仰选择的价值引导”四个方面，对信仰的本质、类型、功能进行了学理探讨，对当代大学生的信仰现状进行细致的调查研究，对影响大学生信仰的主要因素进行了缜密分析，进而提出了对大学生进行信仰教育的策略选择。
Recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and State Council issued "The Suggestion of Continuing to Strengthen and Improve the Political Education of College Student"s Thought, and stressed on college students are very precious talented resource, they are the hope of the nation and the future of China. Strengthening and improving the political education of College Student"s thought, improving their thinking and political quality and training them to be the builders and successor of socialism with Chinese characteristics, have the important and profound meaning to completely put the strategy, which uses the science, education and talented person to make the country prosperous and powerful into practice, ensure our country will never be defeated in the intense international competition, ensure that we could realize the aim to completely establish a society with comparatively good living standard and push forward the socialism modernization quickly and ensure that socialism with Chinese characteristics will be prosperous and have many posterities. If we want to realize this aim, the very first problem is to lead the college students to erect the firm and correct faith. Though now we have had some analysis and proof to the research and practice of this problem by some scholars, it is still necessary to do a comprehensive and systematic research to contemporary college student"s faith, in the period when modern china with a great change, Eastern and Western ideology contradict with each other strongly, and the contest to the youngsters becomes more intense, This problem involves not only the college students, but also the development of the whole nation"s ethics and humanities spirit, This is a very important valued problem of "Modernism" rebuilding which has distinctive times characteristic.On the basis of the predecessors" research, under the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong"s thought, Deng Xiaoping "s ideology and " Three Rrepresents ". I insist on the principle that makes the history and reality as an unity,use the way that keeps theory, investigation and concreteevidence research, static and dynamic state analysis qualitative and quantitative analysis together, on the basis of reality and theory to do a scholarly approach to the essence, style and function of the faith, a meticulous inquiry and research, a faith and put forward the strategy choice to have a college student"s faith education from four aspects: "The faith"s culture interpretation ", "The faith"s culture explanation of modern college student", "The analysis about the main cause of formation of modern college student"s faith " , " the value guidance about the choice of the college student"s faith ".
