佛教的复兴、佛学研究的兴盛，是近代中国社会和学术史上一个非常重要的历史和学术现象。作为中国近代著名的思想家和政治家，谭嗣同与梁启超对佛学的研究具有相当普遍的代表性。本文通过对谭嗣同与梁启超佛学思想的叙述、比较和分析，寻找二人佛学研究的异同及其异同原因，从而揭示出近代中国学术界佛学研究的特点，以及近代思想家佛学研究对中国佛学发展的作用和意义。
The revival of Buddhism, together with the prosperity of study in Theory of Buddhism, is the significant historical and academic phenomenon in the modern Chinese society and academic history. As the prominent thinkers and politicians in modern times, Tan siton and Liang qichao are the representatives of the study in Theory of Buddhism. Through the narration, comparison and analysis on their theory, the dissertation tries to find similarities and discrepancies between them and the cause, in order to reveal the characteristics of the modern theory of Buddhism in China as well as the role and importance which the study of Buddhism conducted by modern thinkers played.
