马克思主义的科学社会主义从产生至今已有150多年的历史，它的基本原理现在是否过时?这是一些不了解社会主义发展史的人们感到最为疑虑的问题，也是社会主义敌人攻击的焦点，很有必要根据历史的回顾作出明确的回答。中国共产党人对社会主义的认识从不了解到了解、从不熟悉到熟悉、从理论宣传到实际运用、挫折到成功，经历了一个漫长的过程，也就是认识社会主义的过程。这个过程大致可以分为四个时期，即中国共产党成立时期，新民主主义革命时期，社会主义改造时期，社会主义建设时期。这个过程说明，人们对社会主义的认识，也同对任何事物的认识一样，是随着实践的发展而逐步深入的，任何一个时期的认识都有时代的特色和局限性，只要社会主义实践不终止，人们对社会主义的认识就会继续发展。
Marxist science socialist has come into being for 150 years. If the fundamental principle are overtime or not, some who don"t understand the theory regard it as the most required question, and it has been to the issue that the enemy assault Marxist. So we must answer for the question according to the history. It has run though a long course that the Communist Party of China has began to understand it from not, grasp it from not, propagandize it, take use of it and from failure to success, namely we recognize the Socialism. The course may separate into four periods: the time of the Communist Party of China found; the period of the New-democracy revolution; the period of the Socialist alteration; the period of the Socialist construction. On the course, people understand the Socialist more and more as the development of practice. All recognitions having limitation and character of times , if the practice come on.
