As we all know, adverbs have the function of expressing the modality, and this is the aspect where the author proceed with the comparison of "Bing" and "Ke" with the usage before the negation.Through the corpus study of 6552 examples, we disclosed that, "Bing+ negation" and "Ke + negation" have obvious differences on the following aspects: modal words and punctuation at the end of the sentences, auxiliaries, predicates, first person vs. third person and context. From the comparison we can conclude that "Ke+negation" has high subjectivity while "Bing + negation" has low subjectivity. We also discovered that "Ke +negation" are more relative to the future time than "Bing + negation", that means "Ke + negation" is used to presuppose things and admonish people.Because of the difference on subjectivity, the lexical models of "Bing+negation" and "Ke+negation" have different categories, the lexical models with stronger subjectivity, such as declaration, admonition, dissuasion etc. are not adapted to "Bing+negation" pattern. Meanwhile, the lexical models with strong objectivity, such as attribute, object etc are not suitable for "Ke+negation" pattern. Although "Bing+negation" and "Ke+negation" have some common usage models, their subjectivities vary. The author starts from the perspective of single sentences, and proceeds into the study of interrelation among sentences, so as to disclose the substantial differences between "Bing+negation" and "Ke+negation". Using statistical methods, the author compared usage frequencies of examples on various aspects of subjectivity, and reached the conclusion that the subjectivity of "Bing+negation" is higher than "Ke+negation". It goes further on to describe the lexical models of "Bing+negation" and "Ke+negation".
