At the beginning of this paper, introduce the kinds and evolution of the existing continuously variable transmission box briefly, and looked forward to the transmitting development direction of the continuously variable transmission in the future based in the state it is used now.The main work that this paper done is the emulation in movement and dynamics to the RX continuously variable transmission box. The RX continuously variable transmission box is a kind of mechanic friction stepless transmission , its structure is through being out of the shape of the planet gear transmissionbox ,replace the gear in the planet gear box with friction wheel, it depends on the strength of the assembling structure to guarantee the force is transferred. Through regulate contact radius of the taper and centre wheel to realize the stepless transmission.The emulation tool that this text used is the Simulink toolbox of Matlab, it can very easily to set up their emulation model by mathematics model of the system, and then deal with various kinds of results data in Matlab to get it"s curves, thus evaluate the capability of the system intuitionistic.The movement and dynamics of the continuously variable transmission box are important performance in valuing it"s quality, this paper considers from the design process of the continuously variable transmission box. First the emulation of the movement is done during the step that can only get the structure parameter, later with the deepening of the design process, when the dynamic characteristic parameters is offered , we can use the dynamic model to carry on dynamics emulation , thus have an overall and careful understanding to the whole structure.Emulation as a kind of method is not only can be used in the movement and dynamics, but also can be used in various kinds of characteristics that can set up the mathematics model, and it is not merely used in the continuously variable transmission box too, but the machinery of different types. The emulation that this text does is the emulation to the continuously variable transmission box, it isalso a exploration of this kind of method too.
