本文从文化哲学的视角切入，将理想校园的建设模式放置整体社会发展的理性化过程中。在哲学观层面上提出并论证了构建以文化进步为核心的和谐校园的必要性研究，进而论证了在实践中真正建构起和谐的校园的模式，进而发扬和完善其理论内在人学意蕴和生存论关照的理论和现实意义。 本文通过分析论述了文化是内在于人的一切活动的本质规定性中，是历史凝结成的人的生存方式，文化进步的主体是人，社会历史过程是人追求自己目的的活动过程。因此，文化进步的实质是人自身的发展。从文化进步的角度来分析建构和谐校园，在突出精英文化对社会文化进步引领作用的同时，无疑把握住文化，也是在把握人生存方式之根本。 在此基础上，本文引入和谐校园的概念，并对其内涵作了较为深刻地剖析，同时对我们所要构建的和谐校园模式进行立体思考，和谐校园应建立在文化校园模式完善的基础上，本着以人为本的原则，实现学生自身和学校全面协调的发展。但就目前现实而言，我们的和谐校园建设仍然存在一系列不和谐的因素，我们要努力在克服这些不和谐因素的基础上真正构建起以文化进步为核心的和谐校园，在这一历史过程中，我们要注意用马克思主义理论的积极资源分析和解决现实存在的问题。 以文化进步为核心的和谐校园的建设为我国当代马克思主义的研究特别是马克思主义现实化问题思考提供崭新的视域、从文化批判的角度，以及从校园建设中的不和谐现象入手来探讨解决实现建设和谐校园的途径。通过将以文化进步为核心的和谐发展观引入我们的文化校园建设，进一步深化马克思主义以人为本，建立和谐社会的基本原则。全球化背景中跨文化交往的需要，呼唤以文化为核心的文化校园的建设。通过对文化校园的解析，尝试地拓宽我们当前文化哲学以及全球化等问题的研究视域。
