Its development spreads with two ways: one is folk architectural painting and the other is court architectural painting. It has unique characteristics distinctively different from those in past dynasties, either in expression theme or technique. Because of the fast growth of literati painting and the influence of Europe painting, it is more and more scientific but deviates from Chinese painting spirit, and declines gradually in the late of Qing Dynasty. However it doesn"t lose its original research value. It is very beneficial to study the artistic image of the buildings in Qing Dynasty and refracts the development and change of society, literature and art.
