限制性范围副词“只”是语法学界讨论的热点之一。但对它多是现代汉语范围内的研究，而作历时性考察的较少。即使为数不多的专书范围副词研究的著作，由于论域的限制，在范围副词的发展变化方面着力不多。本文试图通过对“止／只”、“不止／只”、“止／只是”、“止／只有”等的来源和用法进行历时性描述，进一步探讨“止／只”历时替换动因及“止／只是”与“止／只有”等相关问题。 论文共分四部分： 第一部分是“祗”的用法及变化。分析了“祗”的来源和演变及“祗”、“只”字形的改写关系。 第二部分是“止／只”的历时替换研究。通过对历时语料的爬梳，描述了“止／只”历时替换关系。由于“止”所承担的语义、句法功能的繁重性，语言为了表达的经济性、明晰性原则，就由在上古是语气词的“只”来替代“止”表示限制范围的概念。 第三部分是“止／只”组合结构的历史演变。本部分主要描述了“不止／只”、“止／只是”、“止／只有”的历史演变，借以发现它们的发展轨迹。 第四部分是语言演变的动因及表现。结合前面两部分的描述尝试着对“止／只”、“不止／只”、“止／只是”、“止／只有”等的演变的动因进行探讨，试图揭示它们发生变化的动因。
Restrictive scope adverb zhi(只) is one of the focuses in grammatical circles. But up to the present, its researches are mostly limited in modern Chinese language, and make little investigation in its history. Even there are some books of investigative work in adverb, but for the reason of its restrictive discussion, the researches have done little in the development of scope adverb. This thesis tries to describe the origin and usage of zhi(止/只) buzhi(止/不止) zhishi(止/不是) and zhiyou(止/只有) in historical development, and thoroughly discuss the inducement of their changes of zhi(只) and other related problems of bushi (不止/只) zhishi (只是) zhiyou(只有/止). The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part is about the usage and change of zhi"(只) .It analyzes the source and change of the zhi (祗) and the adaptation on characters zhi (祗) and zhi (只).The second part researches the historical substitution of the zhi (止/只) . Throughstudying the language datum in history, this thesis analyzes historical substitution of zhi(止/只) .Due to the heavy burden of zhi(只) from its meaning and syntax function., forthe economy and perspicuity of expression, particle word zhi(止) substitutes zhi(只 ) toexpress the restrictive concept.The third part shows the history evolvement of zhi(止/只) structure. It mostly describe the history evolvement of bushi (止/不止) zhishi(止/只是) zhiyou(止/只有) to find their developing tracks.The forth part discusses the reason and expression of language evolvement . On the basis of the above two parts , the thesis studies the evolving reason of buzhi(止/不止) zhishi(止/只是) zhiyou(止/只有)to discover the inducement of their changes.
