With the development of digital techniques and computer techniques, logic analyzer has a widespread application and gets a rapid development. Therefore, basing on the situation of our country and the concept of virtual instrument, we developed the instrument ELA4521(based on PCI Bus) logic analyzer, which is competitive. Firstly this thesis expatiated the work principle and the hardware construction of logic analyzer. Secondly the paper expatiated the point on the data of the collects ,the passage and trigger to identification, the read and write control to memory, design of PCI interface and the driver. Among them, trigger and identification and the control of memory were realized by programmed logic device. The interface of PCI was adopted the special chip9030 of PLX company. The driver procedure adopted WinDriver tools of the KRFTech company. Finally the thesis introduced the debugging of hardware.
