随着中国加入世贸组织和全球经济一体化的趋势日益明显，中国银行业在过去的六年中高速发展。同时，中国对于外资银行过去在业务经营等很多方面的限制正在逐步取消和减少，这就使外资银行能有更多机会将国际市场上已发展成熟的产品和服务介绍到国内市场。资金交易在金融市场上占据着举足轻重的地位，它也是商业银行最为重要的业务及作用之一。 英语在许多领域都占有了主导地位，尤其在商业方面。从某种程度上来讲，英语是资金交易的‘官方’语言。银行英语作为特殊用途英语的一种，在学术研究和实际使用上已经得到了越来越多的关注。然而作为银行英语的一个：最为重要的组成部分，资金交易英语因为其专业性过强一直以来并未被单独列开进行探讨研究。甚至对于银行从业人员，如果不是来自相关部门，同样对这一领域知之甚少。而中国市场的大门已对外资银行和投资者敞开，因而这一问题的解决迫在眉睫。 作为英语专业的毕业生，笔者在外资银行相关部门工作已近五年。因而在此论文中，笔者意图从更为实际的角度来研究英文资金交易术语。通过对资金交易术语的特征和翻译理论的介绍，总结出若干具体实用的翻译方法。在本论文中，笔者根据日常工作经验和积累，选取了一百多条实例，作为研究样本，并且通过分析英文资金交易术语的构词方法和词义的变迁，总结出英文资金交易术语的构词特征和规律。基于这些分析和总结，论文将着重探讨英文资金交易术语的汉译方法。论文简单介绍国内外现有的翻译理论特别是对英文资金交易术语翻译有帮助的理论及适用的翻译原则。并且将刘重德在严复的翻译原则的理论基础上修正为的‘信，达，切’作为英文资金交易术语翻译的原则，采用实例总结归纳了一些实用的翻译技巧。在最后的结论部分提出了研究的局限性，研究结果的应用性等。 本论文旨在通过介绍英文资金交易术语的特征及其翻译，帮助读者初步认识这一复杂深奥的专业领域，并且帮助学习者为飞速发展的国内市场做好理论知识准备。
With China"s accession to the WTO as well as under the trend of financial globalization, China has seen an extremely rapid developing period of its banking industry in the past six years. Moreover, since the barriers to banking transactions for foreign banks in domestic market have been gradually removed, there come up more and more opportunities for foreign banks to introduce into the Chinese financial market diversified service and financial instruments which have been well developed in the international market. Currency and Interest Rate Trading plays a dominant role in the development of financial market and this is one of the most important functions of commercial banks. English is still no doubt the internationally accepted language used in many fields, especially for business purposes. To some extent, English is the "official" language in the Currency and Interest Rate Trading world. Banking English, as one kind of ESP (English for Special Purpose), has attracted more and more attention, both in the academic field and in the occupational one. However, as one of the most important parts of Banking English, English Currency and Interest Rate Trading Terms have not received much attention as a separate field of study because it is a very specialized field in the banking industry. Even bank employees, if not work in a related department, have little knowledge about it. China Currency and Interest Rate Trading market has already opened its door for both foreign banks and investors. Therefore it is an urgent problem to be solved now. As English major and a foreign bank employee, having been working in this specialized field for five years, the author would like to have a study of English Currency and Interest Rate Trading Terms in a more practical way in this thesis, that is, to find some concrete practical translation skills on the basis of the brief analysis of English Currency and Interest Rate Trading Terms features and the summation of translation theories. In this thesis, the author selects more than one hundred English Currency and Trading terms as the research samples. By analyzing the word formation process and meaning change of the sample terms one by one, the features of the terms are generalized. All the analyses are the bases and are for the purpose in summarizing the practical translation skills of English Currency and Interest Rate Trading Terms. This thesis will mainly focus on English to Chinese translation. After studying the translation definition and its criteria, the author suggests several practical translation methods based on the criteria of Liu Zhongde"s "faithfulness, expressiveness and closeness". The concluding part points out the limitation of the research and hopefully implications of the study. The purpose of the research is to introduce this financial practice to more and more target readers, to help them grasp the complex and profound theory and operational strategy of Currency and Interest Rate Trading, and to provide the readers with theoretical preparation for the rapid development of Chinese Currency and Interest Rate Trading market now and in the future.
