The result of the field test, which is gotten by the transient process test done in the plant, indicates that the mathematic model is with high precision. The problem of hydraulic surging on the normally operating units being connected to the transmission條ine system of electric power, which is caused by the load rejection unit, is discussed here. The feasibility of the mathematic model being built by using the internal flow character of hydraulic turbine and aiming at the operating units being connected to the transmission條ine system of electric power is proved by the field test. In the end, the control law of guide vane for NO. 4 unit of Shiban Hydropower Plant is optimized with the aid of computer, and the parameters of two梥egment closing law for guide vane is provided to the plant.
