Motion controller is placed between the software andhardware and will impinge on the control accuracy and speed of thesystem, so motion controller is one of the most important part of theCNC system. It is important to develop a practical motion controller inaccelerating the domestic industrial control and the study on motioncontrol.In this thesis, montion controller is researched. We analyze theimportance of motion controller in the CNC system and point out thedevelopmental trend of motion controltechnology. A new generationmotion controller is designed.It is a DSP & CPLD motion controllerbased on PCI bus. The design and realization method of hardware andsoftware is discussed. Some technological details during design andrealization are described.
