发展是当今世界主题之一，也是中国社会的一个重要问题。中国共产党作为中国的执政党，其发展观关系着党、国家和民族的前途与命运。科学发展观提出后，学术界对科学发展观及中国共产党发展观的研究取得了诸多成果，但是在党的发展观历史演进方面的研究还比较薄弱，有待于进一步深化。本文在借鉴现有研究成果的基础上，通过对新中国成立以来党在发展问题上的认识进行分析梳理，对中国共产党发展观深化和日趋发展的历史过程进行初步的总结。全文主要分为四部分： 第一部分，中国共产党对新中国发展问题的曲折探索。以毛泽东为代表的中国共产党人，在对中国发展问题的探索中，既有成功的经验也有失误的教训，在探索中形成的一些颇有价值的发展思路和设想，为中国共产党发展观的形成奠定了重要的基础。 第二部分，中国共产党发展观的形成。以邓小平为代表的中国共产党人，在改革开放的伟大实践中，继续对发展理论进行探索，提出了“发展才是硬道理”的论断，中国共产党的发展观逐步形成。 第三部分，中国共产党发展观的深化和拓展。以江泽民为代表的中国共产党人，在社会主义现代化建设的实践中，提出了“发展是执政兴国的第一要务”的科学论断，进一步深化和拓展了中国共产党的发展观。 第四部分，中国共产党发展观的逐步成熟。以胡锦涛为代表的中国共产党人，继承了以毛泽东、邓小平、江泽民等为代表的中国共产党人的发展思想，明确提出了科学发展观，标志着中国共产党发展观的逐步成熟。当前，科学发展观是中国共产党关于中国发展问题的最新总结，是对中国发展实践的最科学的概括和总结。
